Palm Sunday

A PRAYER FOR HOLY WEEK

God of love, my prayer is simple:
Your son, Jesus, suffered and died for me.
I know only that I cannot have real strength
unless I rely on you. I cannot feel protected
from my many weaknesses until I turn to you
for forgiveness and your unalterable love.
Help me to share this strength, protection
and love with others. Amen

Appointment update!

It was wonderful to be able to announce recently that

Revd Phill Harrison will be joining us with his family as vicar– here’s a short message from him:

‘My family and I very excited about joining you all in Wroughton and Wichelstowe in July. My wife, Karen, and I were impressed by both the warmth of the welcome we received on our familiarisation day and the strength of the team in Wroughton. We have two secondary school age children, Aidan and Ciara (say: kee-ah-rah), both of whom are eager to explore what will become their new home. We currently live in Corsham, near Chippenham, where I am the Assistant Curate. Before this we lived in north Bristol… so God has been gradually calling us eastwards along the M4 towards Wroughton. We look forward to being with you in the not too distant future!’

 Appointment update– Licensing service

Good news! Revd Phill Harrison will be licensed as vicar of the parish of Wroughton and Wichelstowe on Monday 16th July at 7.30pm– get the date in your diary!

Nicola’s Farewell

“Our lovely curate Nicola will be leaving us after Easter to move to her new parish of St Mark’s, Kempshott.  Nicola’s last service will be the 10.30 service on Easter Sunday when we’ll say farewell and give thanks for her time with us here.  If you’d like to contribute towards a gift, please put this in an envelope (‘Nicola – Gift’) and hand to a churchwarden (Helena or Mike), or deliver to the Parish Office.”

Nicola’s Licensing– April 18th

If you are planning to go under your own steam, please could you let Nicola know so that she can make sure that you get an invitation and the good people of St Mark’s can get clear numbers for catering. Thanks!

The sessions last for 1 hour  – would you like to come along to learn more about dementia and how we can help those around us?? If so, please sign the sign up sheet with your details on the Church Chest. I will then plan dates and let you know when the sessions are running – Many thanks Cheryl
