Church Defibrillator

After first waiting for the Church of England’s rules to change and then delays caused by the pandemic, we are now delighted to be able to report that the cabinet for the defibrillator has been mounted inside the church porch. This will be available for emergency use by people visiting the church and churchyard and also anyone in the vicinity of Church Hill.

Angels

We can stop making angels now.  If you have any completed angels they can be left in church or you can deliver them to 17 Edgar Row Close.  If you need to have them collected call Barbara on 633024.

Eric and Sandra Woods

Some of you will remember Eric who was our vicar before Michael.  Eric has asked me to let you know that he and Sandra have now moved after 27 years at Sherbourne. He was due to retire in a blaze of glory at Easter this year but in the end did not retire until 30th June and moved at the end of August.

Their new address is – 5 Hosey Road, Sturminster Newton, Dorset, DT10 1QP

email – ejw1539@gmail.com   phone – 07900 682371

email – sandratrekking@gmail.com   phone – 07395 572648

They are settling well into their new home although getting to know neighbours and their new community will have to wait a while.  Barbara

Church Choir CD

Sometime in pre-history the church choir made a CD –  Sing of the Lord’s Goodness – and many members of the congregation possibly still have this. There are, however, many copies remaining, and we would like to offer these @ £5 each to raise money for the Swindon Food Collective. Listening to it now in 2020 it’s actually not bad! It contains music for all seasons of the church year, including some Christmas items that you may even hear in the next few weeks.   An ideal Christmas present for those in isolation, copies will be available in church on Sundays – or by contacting Janet & John on 01793 525856.

Photos

Please continue to send your photo’s to me office@wroughton.com  so that I can include on the notices and service sheets.  Janet
