Let’s…
The next meeting will be at 10am on 7th April in the Community Room at the Deanery school. We will be telling the Easter story by doing something practical and creative. Everyone is welcome (regardless of how practical or creative you feel you are!). Please let Martina know that you’re coming, so that she can make sure that there is enough stuff: martina.lewis@ntlworld.com
Maundy Thursday Chrism Eucharist
The annual Diocesan Eucharist with the Blessing of Oils and the Renewal of Commitment to Ministry will take place in Bristol Cathedral on Thursday 14 April at 10:30am. This service is not only when we share in the traditional Blessing of the Oils for use in initiation and healing (Baptism, Sickness and Chrism), but also a unique opportunity for the whole diocese to come together in prayer, to break bread together, and to renew our commitment to the service of God in Christ. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Electoral Roll Revision 2022
We are approaching the time of our annual Electoral Roll revision (27 Feb to 25 April 2022). The roll is open to anyone over 16 years old, who is baptised and is either resident in the parish or who regularly attends our services. Being on the roll allows you to attend and vote at the Annual Meeting and, if you are not resident in the parish it gives you certain rights otherwise only given to residents. If you regularly attend our services and are not already on the roll, we would like to encourage you to join the electoral roll. Application forms are available from the Parish Office- tel 01793 812050 or email office@wroughton.com. If for any reason you attend our services, but do not feel able to be on the electoral roll please would you complete just page 1 of the form and return it so we have your consent to hold your details so we can keep in touch with you. All completed forms to be returned to the Parish Office by 25 April.

Tearfund
Tearfund is a Christian charity which partners with churches in more than 50 of the world’s poorest countries. They tackle poverty through sustainable development, responding to disasters, and challenging injustice.
Easter Africa is currently facing it’s most severe food crisis in a generation, having experienced it’s worse drought since 1981.Climate change has altered weather patterns in the region resulting in droughts of increasing frequency and intensity. The situation has been further complicated by local conflicts, Covid 19 and now the invasion of Ukraine has sent food prices rocketing. Tearfund are working with churches and local organisations in the region and are asking for our prayers that God will provide the resources that they need, that international attention and support is given to the region and that the much needed rains in Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda will come , enabling crops to be grown.
Eco Top Tips – practical ways to take better care of God’s creation
April – Money Magic
- Spend less money! Just about every pound we spend has environmental costs (except investing in environmental projects). So with wealth comes more responsibility.
- Donate to charities that alleviate the effects of climate change, as well as being compassionate to our local, global and generational neighbours it can save you 500kg CO2e a year.
