During the present time…

On this link you will find this Sunday’s service sheet. This has been designed so that it can be used in one of four ways:

  1. You can join us in person in church at our 10am service on Sunday morning; or
  2. You can join us by phone for the same 10am service on Sunday morning; or
  3. You can pray through the same order of service on your own, or
  4. If you would prefer to watch online on Facebook at 12:00, repeating the reading, the sermon and leading some short prayers.

Joining us in Church

We have restarted a 10am service in church each Sunday morning.  This is a short service of morning prayer followed by communion.  It lasts about 45 minutes in total. Social distancing is observed throughout the service. If you wish to attend you will need to book through the office (01793) 812050 or office@wroughton.com) by 12:00 on Friday.

Joining by phone

Alternatively you can joint he same service by phone,  You will both hear the service at at various points in the service your voice will be heard not only to those on the phone, but also in church.  To join the Sunday service first dial this number:

(N.B. calls to ‘03’ numbers are charged at the standard national rate and are included in your ‘free minutes’ if you have a call-plan)

When prompted, enter the room number, followed by # on your telephone keypad: 60527473 #

Finally, enter the guest PIN: 2656 #

You may have to listen to some announcements, but you will then be automatically joined to the conference call. Join in with the responses in the liturgy as you would normally.

Please try and dial-in at 9:55, as it may take a little while for everyone to be connected.

For those joining in by phone, we will not be including the hymns during the service, but suggest that you could listen to them before or after the service.

If you would prefer to watch online, then we will be ‘going live’ on Facebook at 12:00, where we will repeat the reading, the sermon and lead some short prayers. Please go to our Facebook page Wroughton & Wichelstowe Parish Church.

For people without access to email

For people in Wroughton who don’t have access to email we are delivering a copy of the service sheet to them each week to allow them to pray privately or join in on the service on the phone. If you know someone who doesn’t have email and would like to be included in this, please let us know.

Contemporary

‘Church at 4’ meets at the Parish Church Hall at 4pm each Sunday and takes an informal, contemporary approach, which we hope will be welcoming to anyone and everyone. The service provides opportunities for sung worship, interactive teaching and prayer. Arrive at 3:50 and grab a cuppa and a slice of cake!

We also offer a dedicated programme for children, including a creche.

Sunday 4.00pm ‘Church at 4’ in the Parish Church Hall– an informal, contemporary service for everyone- providing opportunities for sung worship, interactive teaching and prayer, with a dedicated programme for children : 1 hour.

Mainstream

Our Parish Communion at 10.00am each Sunday is taken from the Church of England’s Common Worship. The service is celebrated by one of the clergy, but many other members of the congregation participate in various ways.

Children are welcome at all of our services and children’s activities are available in the baptistry area where helpers are always on hand.

After the service we gather for coffee and refreshments. The service is attended by about 70 people.

1st Sunday of the month we offer the ministry of healing (laying on of hands and anointing with oil) : 1 hour. 

Traditional

The Book of Common Prayer is used at our 8.00am Sunday Holy Communion service; attended by around 30 people.

Sunday 8.00am Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion, 1st Sunday of the month we offer the ministry of healing (laying on of hands and anointing with oil) : 45 minutes.

Choral Evensong

On the first Sunday evening of the month at 6.00pm we have choral Evensong from the Book of Common Prayer with hymns, the psalm and canticles.

Sunday 6.00pm Book of Common Prayer Evensong : 1 hour.
