Come and Sing Fauré’s Requiem
Is being held at St Sampson’s Church, Cricklade on Saturday 6th July.
Rehearsals will be from 11am to 3.30pm with a performance at 4pm. It will be directed by Mark Lee, Director of Music, Bristol Cathedral. Cost is £20 to include score and light refreshments (not lunch). Some of our choir are intending to attend so some lift sharing may be possible. There is a poster in the porch giving full details. Cream Teas for the Hospice
Cream Teas & Table Top Sale, featuring the Wroughton Silver Band will take place on Saturday 1st June, 2.45pm at St Joseph’s Church in aid of the Prospect Hospice. We urgently need donations of table top, raffle prices or tombola gifts please leave with Janet at the Parish Office, Priors Hill. If you are able to make some scones or help on the day please ring Anne Moss, 813318.
CHURCH HALL GARDENS
On Wednesday 29th May we are planning to do some work on the garden beds at the church hall. We’d love to have some help, so come along to the hall from 2pm. Gardening gloves and hand tools would be helpful.
CAR LIFTS
People in the church are very good at offering lifts for those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to get to church, but don’t usually offer or accept lifts with other drivers. Is there someone who lives near you that you could arrange to share the journey with, to avoid unnecessarily duplicating the drive?
Eco Top Tips – practical ways to take better care of God’s creation
May – Holiday highlights
- If you are staying away choose your hotel carefully. Depending on the level of luxury, meat served, food wasted, energy wasted with excess heating etc your night could cost you 3 to 60kg CO2e per person per night.
- Slow down and relax on: Drive at 60mph on the motorway and 50mph on main roads and save 10% on fuel and CO2e emissions.
