Have your say on Recruitment of Our New Vicar –

Sunday,  February 8th at 10.00 am followed by Bring and Share Lunch

As part of our process for our recruiting a new vicar, Rosy Ashley, Diocesan Adviser for Parish Development will be joining us to lead a special service at 10.00 am on Sunday February 8th. There will be a short form of Morning Worship interwoven with specific time provision made for Rosy to walk us through our reflection, prayer and discernment of what we would like in our new Vicar and the future direction of our Church. This will include time for discussion and congregation participation with her – very much our chance to air views and have our say.

There will be a bring and share early lunch afterwards and the chance for further discussion.

The aim of the Service is to inform Rosy, in conjunction with us, to write a short single sided document called Christ’s Call – essentially a summary of what kind of Church God is calling us to be. This will be prominent in the Parish Profile document which will be the basis of our recruitment effort. Applicants consider this very carefully and it is our chance to tell them who we are.

For the lunch please can  you sign-up to say what food  you propose

to bring on the sheet in Church.

Cakes for 10am Service Refreshments

Many thanks to all those who have provided cake and biscuits for us to enjoy after the 10am service over the past months. If you would like to sign up to provide cake on a particular Sunday, there’s a new sign up sheet in church for the period up to Easter.

Phill’s Last Service

‘Thank you to all whom attended Phill’s final morning service (in person and online) and helped provide such a fitting send off for him and the family. Your generous donations meant we could present him with gifts and cash totalling £830.’

Thank you from the Harrisons

Thank you so much for all your kind wishes and blessings as we leave Wroughton; we will miss you very much. I can confirm that both the whisky and port are excellent and we’re very much looking forward to using our Bristol Beacon vouchers and will find something nice to buy for the house once we’ve got settled – you have been most generous. Bristol isn’t terribly far away, so I’m sure we’ll see each other again at some point. With prayers for the future, Phill and Karen.
