Wroughton Church Choir is a traditional robed mixed choir of boys, girls, women and men. We sing at two services each Sunday and rehearse on Thursday evenings, Juniors from 19.00, adults joining at them at 19.30. We sing music in a variety of styles spanning five centuries from Tudor composers through to modern unpublished works. We currently number 20 and are always looking for new recruits. No audition is necessary and anyone interested should ring the organist for further details on 01793 525856.

Our choir is a family, with a great love of singing God’s praise. Singing should be fun and, though we take our role in worship very seriously, we do so with a great deal of laughter – see organist not so much letting his hair down as adding to it !

The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and actively participates in many RSCM events, possibly because the organist and his assistant are Chair and Secretary of the RSCM Bristol & Swindon Area Committee and organise these !

The choristers, both junior and adult, take part in the RSCM Voice for Life training scheme and work towards the RSCM Bristol Area Dean’s (five members hold this award) and Bishop’s Awards (five members hold this award) and the RSCM National Gold Award (three members hold this award). One of our choristers is in the RSCM Millennium Youth Choir and eight of the choir are in theRSCM Cathedral Singers.
