Choir

Wroughton Church Choir is a traditional robed mixed choir, though currently only adults. We sing at the morning Choral Eucharist each Sunday and at Evensong on the first Sunday of the month. Choir Practice is on Thursday evenings at 19.30. We sing music in a variety of styles spanning the centuries from plainsong through to modern unpublished works. We currently number 15 and are always looking for new recruits. No audition is necessary and anyone interested should ring the organist for further details on 01793 525856.

Our choir is a family, with a great love of singing God’s praise. Singing should be fun and, although we take our role in worship very seriously, we do so with a great deal of laughter.

The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and actively participates in many RSCM events. All choristers take part in the RSCM Voice for Life training scheme and work towards the RSCM Bristol Area Dean’s and Bishop’s Awards and the RSCM National Gold Award (two members hold this award). Members of the choir are in the RSCM Voices West.
