How do we use your information?
When you are part of one of our planned giving schemes we may need to keep some information about you and your donations. This information is kept secure and will not be revealed to third parties except in order to claim gift aid (where you have indicated that we can) Further information can be found our privacy policy
Giving to the Wroughton & Wichelstowe Parish Church
It costs around £150,000 each year to run the church and almost all of that comes from donations from church members. If you pay tax then you can also gift aid your donation which allows us to claim back the tax you paid on the donation.
One off gifts
If you are joining us in the church building then you can put money in the plate or use our card donations machine at services.
If you are joining us remotely you can send us a one off donation by:
- By sending a cheque to the Parish Office, Church Hall, Priors Hill, Wroughton, SN4 0RT (or you can post it through the letterbox);
- You can make a direct payment from your bank – please contact the parish office for our bank details;
- You can now give directly through this link or the “Donate Now” button at the top of this page. If you pay tax you can also Gift Aid your donation.
Regular giving
There are three main ways in which you can regularly give to Wroughton and Wichelstowe Parish Church. If you would like to give regularly you can do so in one of the following ways
The Parish Giving Scheme
The Parish Giving Scheme is a scheme administered nationally by the Church of England who do all the administration. They collect the money from your bank each month by Direct Debit, claim any Gift Aid and pay it as a lump sum into our bank account every month as a single payment. The scheme is really easy for us as the Parish Giving Scheme do all the work at no cost to the PCC – all the money you donate and any gift aid is paid directly to the PCC each month.

In addition they can now able to sign up new donors by phone, for further information on joing the scheme please go to https://register.parishgiving.org.uk/. You will need our Parish Name (Wroughton & Wichelstowe) and Reference Number (050605188). If you have any questions please contact the parish office.
When you sign up you also have the option to index link your giving – if you do this the Parish Giving Scheme will write to you each year asking you if you wish to increase your giving by the inflation amount.
Directly from your bank by Standing Order
You can set up a standing order to pay us directly from your bank. If you wish to do this please contact the parish office to get a standing order form.
The Envelope Scheme
You can get a set of envelopes with your own unique number on them so that you can put the money in the plate at services. This allows us to identify where the donation came from so that if you pay tax and have filled in a gift aid form, we can claim the tax back that you have paid on your donation.
