Phill Harrison retirement
As many people will be aware, I have been living with the effects of Long Covid since March 2022. The most significant and challenging issues for me have been chronic fatigue and the accompanying ‘brain-fog’. This has meant that, despite my best efforts, I have been unable to return to full-time work, and I have had a number of periods of extended absence, most recently during February, March and April this year. As time has gone on, my capacity for work and my quality of life has been slowly reducing, to the point where I have concluded that this is no longer sustainable. With a heavy heart I have therefore decided to retire on grounds of ill-health. My last Sunday in Wroughton will be 4th January 2026.
Tear Fund Quiz
We will be holding the TEAR Fund Big Quiz night on Saturday 15th November at the Church Hall with a prompt starting time of 6,45pm, Entry is £10 per person including a good hot meal – don’t eat beforehand! Teams of 6-8 are welcomed but feel free to give individual names too – teams can be sorted on the night. To assist with catering arrangements please give names in advance either to the Church Office or to Peter Ferguson. Numbers are limited but generous so please book early for this popular event. We will finish by 9pm or very shortly after.
