What Is a Christening?
During a christening, you or your child is baptised with water as a sign of God’s love and welcome into the Christian faith.
It is also a special opportunity for parents, godparents, family, and friends to make promises to support your child as they grow.

What Does It Mean for Parents & Godparents?
A christening is more than a single day — it’s the beginning of a lifelong journey together. As you or your child grows in their faith, you can support them by:
Helping them explore the Christian faith through church and community
Praying for them through life’s ups and downs
Talking about life, faith, hope, and love
Encouraging kindness and good choices
