Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and Meeting to Elect Churchwardens– these meetings will be held in church on Sunday 21 May starting at 11.15am in church. There will be vacancies on the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and also on Swindon Deanery Synod so please pray about whether you might be called to volunteer for either of these roles. If you have been on the Electoral Roll for at least six months and would like to stand for election, nomination forms are available from either the Parish Office or Helen Toomer (htoomer@outlook.com) or at the back of church. If you are interested or would like more information please speak to any of the current PCC members or to the Vicar.
CHURCHES COUNT ON NATURE
On Saturday 3rd June we will be carrying out a wildlife survey of the churchyard. We have carried out surveys for the last two years and submitted our results to the National Biodiversity Network to be included in their maps. There will also be pebble painting and leaf printing activities for children, so everyone whether adults, budding ecologists or children of any age are welcome. Come along from 2pm to join in. There will be drinks and cake as well.
Altar Servers Training
Training will take place in Church on Saturday 20th May from 10 am. If you feel that you are called to join the team please come along or ask Jean Ford for more information.
Update on Martina
As you know, Martina Lewis has been studying for ordination at Sarum College for the last two years and we had hoped that she would be ordained in July this year, before leaving us to begin her curacy in September/October. Due to unforeseen family challenges and personal health concerns, her ordination has been postponed and will not go ahead this summer. This is clearly a very difficult time for Martina, who is also unable to drive at the moment. Please pray for her healing and for the serenity to accept those things that are beyond her control. Revd. Phill
A big thank you to all of our church cleaners! – PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TIME IS 3PM
If you are part of the team that keeps the church and church toilet clean then you are amazing! Thank you. In recognition of our army of unsung cleaning heroes we will be having a cream tea, just for you, at 3pm on
Saturday 20th May in the Church Hall. Revd. Phill

Eco Top Tips – practical ways to take better care of God’s creation
May – In the utility room
- Irons use a lot of electricity to get hot – only iron clothes that really need it.
- Cut up old clothes or sheets that you were going to throw out, to use as clothes for cleaning jobs rather than buying new cleaning clothes.
Funerals
We commend to God’s care and keeping those who have, died recently, Kenneth Matthews. We pray for all those who mourn the loss of a loved one.
